The series “Form as movement” comprises a range of objects, graphics, and animations that explore the interplay between spatial form and movement. The series serves as the foundation for subsequent works that explore the relationship between sound and sculpture.
The work “Kinematomy” consists of hundreds of plywood panels glued together. Each plywood panel shows the silhouette of a moving dancer at a different point in time. The work can be interpreted as a glued-together flip book. The sculptures “Phoenix” and “Movement of a Stick” trace the flight path of a dove and a stick, respectively. The resulting trail can be interpreted as a spatial long exposure. The pencil drawings “Space-Time Anatomy I – VIII" are based on video templates. Sequential individual images were drawn on top of each other and connected to form continuous surfaces.
